Why Choose
Hall & Prior

With over 30 years of experience, Hall & Prior is a trusted name in aged care. As a family-owned provider, we deliver compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each individual. Across our 40 homes, our dedicated teams create inclusive communities that support dignity, connection, and wellbeing.

Our Story

Established in 1992 by Michael Hall and Graeme Prior, the Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group has grown from a single family-owned nursing home to a leading Australian aged care provider with 40 homes.

For over 30 years, Hall & Prior has been driven by a commitment to deliver quality aged care that is accessible to everyone, no matter their background or circumstances.

We believe that this commitment and dedication makes a true difference to the lives of our care recipients and their families and that our success is based on a clear understanding of this commitment and a genuine belief in what we do.

Our philosophy is that our residents and care recipients are entitled to the highest standards of professional care, privacy and dignity and we are proud to promote individuality, diversity and inclusivity in our approach.

We employ over 4,000 professional and specialist staff dedicated to planning and caring for our residents and the people we care for.

Our homes provide leading care, safety and comfort, quality facilities and ensure choice when it comes to accommodation and services, which is important to all individuals.

We remain committed to the delivery of best practice and accessible care options. Our most recently opened aged care developments across the country are evidence of this.

Accreditation
Standards

Aged care homes are owned and run by people who are approved by the Australian Government to care for you.
To make sure you’re receiving the best care possible, all aged care homes need to meet certain standards, these are the Quality Standards. All Hall & Prior homes are accredited under these standards.

How does a home get accredited?

All aged care homes are accredited and monitored by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. To make sure Hall & Prior are providing you with the best possible care, Quality Assessors conduct unannounced visits to each home and assess for compliance under these standards. Residents and their representatives are spoken to as part of this assessment.

Our standards

On top of meeting the expected outcomes of the accreditation standard for our industry, the most important standard that we aim to uphold each and every day is meeting your expectations. The expectations of our residents, their loved ones, our staff, and the wider community are important to us. If you have a comment or a complaint we are happy to hear this at any time and will use your views to improve.

If you would like further information about accreditation, please speak with the Director of Nursing or Executive Manager at your home. They will be more than happy to help answer any questions you may have.
